As the year 2019 winds down, The Board Chairman, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency, (LNSA), DIG Israel Ajao (rtd) has tasked operatives of Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) to be rededicated to the task of securing the state in the new year towards the achievement of greater Lagos Agenda.. DIG Ajao made the call today during the “End of the Year Conference” held at Agency’s Headquarters, Safety Arena, Bolade,Oshodi, Lagos. The Chairman appreciated God for hHs mercies on the Agency during the course of the year and commended the operative for a job well done. He submitted that although, LNSC operatives had done well in 2019 and it is important for them to be rededicated in the coming year so as not to disappoint the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu and entire Lagosians. According to him “It is always difficult to climb a tree to the top, but it is easy to drop from the tree, I enjoin you to hold the job you have seriously, don’t do anything that will make you lose the job”. Also in his address he advised Corps Officers not to over pamper their subordinates and not to be harsh in relating with them. ‘if the bond between you and your junior is too strong, then you’re sacrificing indiscipline, don’t go into unholy alliances with your juniors, it is dirty”, he chided. The ex-Police boss directed that henceforth, LNSC Operatives should steer clear of acts of indiscipline and general misconduct, improper dressing, crime, sexual harassment, engaging in commercial motorcycle (okada) riding and embrace synergy with other agencies. He spoke further by charged LNSC operatives to engage in effective patrol and visibility saying that “if there is anything we have done to impress the Lagosians it is high visibility”. He also directed all corps officers to prepare the “Operation Order’ of their respective LGs/LCDAs and ensure that operatives are assembled on a parade before being deployed to their respective beats so as to assess their mental and physical state. Israel disclosed that as from January, 2020, the Agency will embark on “Pay on Sight exercise which will mean that only those that are seen will be paid their salaries.
He explained that attendance registers, appointment letters and other necessary documents will be considered before payment. Ajao was flanked by LNSA Board representatives, Ikeja Divison, Chief Tunde Aboyade, Ikorodu Division, Princess Kofoworola Adegboye, Lagos Division, Mr. Ishola Laguda and Epe Division, otunba Dengel Anifowoshe. Others included, Assistant Corps Commandar ACCS (Admin), Kabiru Adelaja, ACC Operations, Leke Adeleke, ACC Intelligence, CSP Emmanuel Ogolo (rtd) and LNSC Division commanders.
