SANWO-OLU IN LNSC UNIFORM FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
In a symbolic and significant style to demonstrate to the world that Community policing has come to stay in Lagos State, His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu affirmed today that Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) is part of the security architecture of Lagos State, by dressing in full LNSC uniform for the Independence Day Parade held at the Nigeria Police Force Premier Training College, Ikeja, the state capital.
It will be recalled that the Governor recently declared that LNSC was part of the security plans of his administration during a visit to the Headquarters of the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA) at Bolade, Oshodi. Governor Sanwo-Olu in his usual smiling mood waved to Lagosians while in a motorcade and also stood firm for the match past of various organisations in the state.
The State Governor’s act no doubt symbolizes Executive endorsement of the LNSC and a renewed call to the Board and the rank and file of the Agency to continue to work very hard for the realisation of His Excellency’s “THEMES” programme of action especially on security and good governance.
“With this singular act the LNSC is motivated to go all out in the task of ensuring Safety across all the Neighborhoods in Lagos State, it is a clear demonstration of motivation” . said the LNSC boss DIG Israel AJAO RTD.
Meanwhile, the Governor wishes Lagosians and Nigerians at large a happy Independence Day Celebrations, peace and harmony in Lagos State.
